In a shock move, sure to impact on the world of football, oil-rich billionaires Manchester City have made a move to leave the rest of the world trailing in their wake.
They have bid an undisclosed sum, thought to be around £1.1 BILLION (or two week's wages for Yaya Toure, whichever is higher) to make the number 25 equal to 35 from this weekend. Sources close to the club said that after meeting over a skinny Latte in Asda's cafe, they read 35 names on a napkin left by City's Garrry Cook, next to a receipt with a hastily scribbled "25=35" in Khaldoon's handwriting.

Bit gutted about this, I think Milner's a good player just not particularly outstanding in anyway.
2 seasons ago Ireland looked like becoming a world beater, I still think he'll get his form back and would've loved that to be at City.
My favourite Ireland memories
Finally... Ireland going the other way. I'm excited by this since he isn't another defensive midfielder

Manchester City have today completed the signing of James Milner from Aston Villa.
Milner completes his move from the West Midland club in time to be available for a debut in front of the City fans for Monday evening’s eagerly anticipated game against Liverpool. He will not be able to feature in tomorrow evening’s Europa League game with Timisoara.
Wookie or anyone else who might know...
I can only seem to find posts from 2007. Am I doing something wrong.
...Milner was in the England U21s
And why do we have to enter a subject when quoting?
Couls someone bump up the original thread. Am determined to do a bit better this year, but fear that the weekend did me no favours.
According to MEN, KOLAROV out for two weeks minimum with ankle ligament injury - Jonathan Northcroft, wanker extrordinaire, of the Sunday Times suggested he was 'faking' an injury V Spurs due to being unable to cope with Lennon.
A blow for us but it serves to underline the importance of having a big squad. One game in and both left backs are injured. Whilst Zab deputised on Saturday, I would be interested to see if Lescott is given a chance, as a dedicated left sided, left footed defender?

I'm following Spurs with interest after they were (with more than a hint of suspicion) robbed of ECL qualification a few years back, then again after they faltered late on in the UEFA last year, resting key players for the competition (what's the point of qualifying for it if you don't take it seriously?), as whatever happens to them this season, will surely be a model for what happens to us when we qualify next year. We have quite similar squad quality, albeit with a totally different management approach, and have made similar UEFA progression in the past. So the parallels are there.
Should be an interesting tie and one that we'll have to line up differently for given that Silva isnt in the squad
I'm anticipating him still playing de Jong, Barry and Yaya with Tevez in the Silva role from the Spurs game and Adebayor higher up. Would be tempted to play SWP again and keep AJ for Liverpool. Unless he opts to start with Vieira? Guessing that left back is also subject to change especially if Kolarov has a knock and would therefore expect Bridge to come into the side. Zab maybe to operate at right back?

Discovered this site recently and have bought a deal or two. If it doesn't automatically come up as Manchester, just choose it from the Cities list.
Today's deal could earn you serious Brownie Points with the other half
