I am just after theories about this enigma. Season before last, a young God. Last season, pretty much hopeless all season.
Why?
Is it the arrival and departure of certain players? So he played well with Elano and they seemed on the same wavelength. (A bit like SWP when Ali B arrived.) He has played poorly with Tevez who takes up the same sort of areas (but this is no excuse as when he was given the chance with Tevez out he was just as bad)?
or is he just a basket case?
I have genuine affection for him, would love to see him at least as our plan B when two holding mids isn't working, but am having increasing difficulty conceiving it.
