I had a fault with my Virgin set top box this morning so rang tech help.
After a 10 min wait (How come its always a "particularly busy time"?) They eventually answered and solved the problem. Whilst the box was restarting they asked me if there were anything else they could help me with so I asked about the Setanta situation and how I could get a refund.
I was told that they were negotiating an alternative. I asked for a refund because I was not receiving a service that I was paying for. The response was that there was nothing they could do while the negotiations were in progress. I pointed out that they could offer a refund. She said that they would not be doing that. I enquired as to what would happen if I witheld payment for this channel until I received a channel that I considered a satisfactory replacement.
They told me that I would be cut off. They have a strange idea of a fair contract.
Anyway thats it for me: Im p*ss*d off with them in anycase. Its freeview for me from now on.
