I know a lot of you like SMF but it was never my intention to have just a forum on my site hence our return here. Please make sure you have the backup site in your favourites though as my road testing of the new look forum is not yet complete.

You can now upload avatars - allow people to send you PMs via email - and sigs now work as they should. The format is closer to that of a standard forum and the reply and edit bugs are gone at last so hopefully a big improvement all round.

I may fiddle with the look and feel a bit so don't be surprised to see colour or icon changes on the fly.

It's renewal time with the hosting company so any donations would be gratefully accepted.

Sky Sports is reporting Sven Goran Ericsson as having accepted the Man City Manager's job in principle on the basis that the Thaksin takeover completes and by that it is understood Thakin gains at least 75% of the shares.

The deal is said to be a 3-year £3million per year contract but the club is unable to confirm or deny due to the strict stock exchange rules.

Since 34% of shares are "minority holdings" I've published a poll to get a feeling of how long this will take if he makes it at all as, lets face it, those with shares have put their money where their mouth is...
